Singapore scientists embrace plan for cyberhugs

Reuters:

Singapore scientists looking for ways to transmit the sense of touch over the Internet have devised a vibration jacket for chickens and are thinking about electronic children’s pyjamas for cyberspace hugs.

WTF, I’m sure very soon this scientists will figure out a way to replicate human love. What good is fatherly, motherly love when you can have electronic love? Whoopee, electronic love! I can’t wait.

Malaysia blogger Sixthseal in trouble over alleged promotion of drug use

Yes, Malaysian blogger but seeing this case, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the racist Singapore bloggers issue some time ago (the 3rd offender was recently sentenced to 180 hours of community service).

Poh Huai Bin, the blogger behind Sixth Seal shared his vast knowledge on drugs and now landed himself in hot water.

The Star:

A 24-YEAR-OLD systems engineer in Kuching has allegedly shared his drug-taking experiences in his blog, detailing the substances, and how to get an enhanced high.

The blog came to the attention of a Nanyang Siang Pau reader, who sent an e-mail to the daily to complain about the blogger, who was supposedly a computer graduate from an Australian university.

The blog, according to the reader, had developed into an information exchange platform for drug users.

I’m sure deep in his mind somewhere he must be pretty glad he’s not in Singapore.

The Lexus Cup 2005

The Lexus Cup will provide an excellent platform to witness the strength of women’s golf as seen on the global stage, in a prestigious match play event.

Will Michelle Wie be there? I can’t wait.

Impresario 2006

Impresario is a annually-held talentime-esque project started by the Nanyang Technological University. There are six categories; Tinybox music vocal solo, Partyworld vocal group, Universal music original composition, Jitterbugs Swingapore modern dance, YES 93.3 DJ/Emcee. Everyone is welcomed to try, not just students.

If you’re 10% as talented as me, you might want to check out their website but I doubt you guys have any chance at all.
