How to tell the producers at Singapore Idol that you’re a talentless loser
Ok, American Idol have just started airing in Singapore. I dont intend to watch a single episode and you shouldn’t cause just look at this.

Unless of course you’re into little goldilocks wannabe.
But i digress. So some genius at mediacorp thought this up, since you’re watching AMI you must be planning to join SI. How about we try to tempt you to join our little competition?
Afraid that you’ll sound horrible during Singapore Idol auditions?
Don’t end up like the rejects from American Idol’s knockout rounds!
Watch American Idol on Jan 25 and 26 on Channel 5 and look out for the password that appears during the show.
Three lucky viewers will get a personal 1-hour vocal training lesson with Singapore Idol vocal teacher Babes Conde on Feb 1 between 7-10pm.

Babes Conde? She must be a hot babe i thought. I was so wrong. But what the heck, it’s a singing competition, who cares if my teacher is one fat unattractive lady?
Anyway, so it’s your lucky day and you win a vocal training lesson with Babes Conde who teaches stars like Fann Wong, Christopher Lee, Donita Rose and Kit Chan how to sing.
Fann, Christopher, Donita singing?! WTF. She must be a hell of a teacher.
And whats that one hour gonna do? Make you into the next Celine Dion? At best, the next william hung (remember the real american idol? me neither).

HI,
you are invited to Singapore Idol Coummunity at http://www.singaporeidol.net
thanks for leaving pointless comments and advertising your own forum.
Actually, I thought running SG Idol and American Idol simultaneously was a bad idea, reason being idol overkill - and faced with the more ’superior’ (or so viewed by many) version of AI, many would choose to watch AI over SGI.
Not to mention the fact that showing both at the same time would simply serve to highlight SGI’s inferiorities compared to its American counterpart.
And I wouldn’t watch AI just simply because after … how many seasons? *lost track*, the formula has become so f-ing boring. *yawn* Last season I was already struggling to keep my eyes open. But thankfully they had better-looking contestants that time round so I still watched it to the end.

Other than that, I agree with you on everything else you said in this post. They are just seriously lacking in incentives for people to be contestants! Like, how about a new car, or $25,000 or something? But no budget I guess. In which case, just scrap the idea, what the hell!
And though I’ve heard of Babes (she’s well-known in the SG english-speaking [read: ang mors, eurasians and bananas] musicians’ circle), this is the 1st time I’m seeing her too. Reaction was the same as yours. Only I was a bit more prepared ‘cos I knew she’s quite old already.
And yeah, if she trained fann, christopher and donita, that’s some helluva track record! [/end sarcasm]
(Oh dear, I hope I don’t sound like a mean bitch. lol ;D)
Oh, and sorry for the long post! I got carried away… just woke up u see. Brain quite fresh and ready to attack.
