What bike?

I have never really gone into keeping a blog and actually updating it, so here’s another one of my pathetic attempts to update a blog I have.

Not much information can be found on this bike manufactured in Thailand. The model is a Honda Phantom TA200. The one I own is turning 5 years old this year. The Phantom TA200 is built to look like a cruiser and is running on a 200cc, air-cooled, single piston, 4 stroke engine. The electric start has never given me any problems. It has a 6-speed gearbox and it travels comfortably at speeds of 90km/h (on stock meter) The one thing I like about the Phantom TA200 is probably it’s fuel consumption, mine’s running about 38km/litre. With the current fuel prices, I’m really glad I chose to get this bike.

X-Men: The Last Stand surprise ending

I haven’t went for the movie but overheard from my friends that there’s some sort of ’surprise’ at end of the credits so do not leave your seats until you finish watching the entire credits scene.

Movie Review: Over the Hedge

Little known fact: Over the Hedge originated from a comic series. You can read some of them over here, but frankly, I find it pretty boring.

The movie on the other hand, is absolutely brilliant. Silly at some parts, but hilarious throughout.

My favourite part was probably the part where Hammy (the squirrel) drank the caffeine drink and suddenly time seemingly stopped. You wonder what’s going on for a second then you made the realization, Hammy was moving so fast that everything else seems so slow.

No reason to give this a miss, plus the games at their site is also pretty entertaining.

Claris’s tiramisu recipe

During my brief hiatus, the gorgeous and intelligent Claris posted up a tiramisu recipe.

# 6 egg yolks
# 500 g mascarpone cheese
# 60g caster sugar
# 1 tsp vanilla essence
# 1 cup espresso coffee
# 4 tsp brandy
# 4 tsp Tia Maria/Kahlua(coffee liqueur)
# 15 pcs of sponge fingers (can get from cold storage-boudoir biscuit)
# Espresso & cocoa powder for decoration

  1. Beat the egg yolks and sugar evenly
  2. Set the mixture over a bowl of hot water and continue beating until it leaves a ribbon trail
  3. Take it out of the hot water and continue beating until mixture is pale and thick.
  4. In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese and vanilla essence evenly.
  5. Pour the egg mixture in and fold until even.
  6. Pour the espresso and brandy in a dish and soak the sponge fingers.
  7. Layer the sponge fingers in cake box followed by a layer of mascarpone mixture.
  8. Continue layering until cake box is full.
  9. Refrigerate cake for 6 hours.
  10. Decorate with espresso powder and cocoa powder before serving.

Or you can just get your tiramisu from these guys.

Driving Theory Tests

“It’ll be a miracle if you can pass your theory test, your book looks like you never even touched it before sia…”

So said mr lim’s brother. He’s referring to the two theory books when you registered, one for basic and the other for final theory.

And mr lim is proud to say he passed his final theory test, without studying. Just like how I did not study for my basic theory.

Damn I’m good.

Now if only I could say the same for the practical test…
