Driving Lesson 1

I made bookings for this session nearly 2 weeks ago, and the timing left much to be desired. So just yesterday, I reached the centre 20 minutes earlier, took a glance at my number and double-checked it 2 seconds later.

Then the time got closer and I went and sat outside vehicle 32, expecting something to happen. The instructor finally came over and gestured me to get into the car.

My nervousness must be really showing through as he started the lesson asking me where I was from and assuring me for no reason whatsoever.

Prior to this, I had no idea how stressful the driving experience was.

Not very sure as to how to maintain constant speed with the accelerator, one moment I’m speeding like a bullet the next, the car barely moved.

“WAHRAO noi noi noi. Norch like tart. Do tist! Loke art tha load!”

On my way home, I saw this.

Looks like there was some accident earlier on but the car parts came off and they just left it there. Real spooky.

Wordpress trackback spam

Apparently Akismet alone is not enough, 20+ trackback spam snuck past undetected and I had to manually deal with them. So now I hope this extra measures will make my life easier.

Movie Review: The Da Vinci Code

Not for the faint-hearted, especially when Silas’s whipping himself silly, unless of course you’re a sadist then it’s an entirely different story.

I advised you not go read the book before the movie as you’ll probably go something like this;

“They missed out that part..”

“They didn’t make it clear what happened at that part…”

I read the book few months ago but having forgot like 90% of the story, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. But of course, one will enjoy almost any movie with such an incredible companion.

Regarding the whole Jesus married Mary Magdalene, Holy Grail, Christianity hoo-ha, it’s just fiction. I don’t see what’s the big fuss is all about?

I have nothing against Christians but does the Singapore Christian Society (or whatever I forgot) thinks so lightly of their members? Will you ditch your religion because of a fictitious movie?

I’m glad that our film censors actually not listen to you people and ban the film. Suck it up people.

Did you watch Singapore Idol just now?

Hardly spectacular, the producers were obviously trying too hard to continue last year’s trend.

Riding on the old jokers (careless whisper etc.) was like some primary school kid doing some last minute dash for his PSLE. They even threw in some pointless quiz and kung fu guy v.s. singapore cowboy shit.

But after all, this is a talent quest show and not a ridiculous funny no-talent quest so there’s no reason not to watch the second episode. BRING ON THE REAL SINGERS!

Movie Review: Mission Impossible 3

All in all your standard action flick, the gadgets were a bit letdown this time around (no missile launcher car? no mobile phone taser?). Look out for some unexpected plot twists here and there but I predicted them all, as usual.

You might as take this opportunity to check out The Cathay Cineplex as it just opened recently and the audio system is just WOAH.

Seriously.
