I have no idea but the first scene Jay Chou came out, the entire theatre roared in laughter.

My brother thought the film was complete trash;

I thought the film was pretty god damn magnificent;

Even though I had read the manga, the movie plot was mostly different so I had absolutely no idea what was gonna happen next.

Several characters didn’t even make an appearance, disappointing but understandable. I’m thinking the producers had no intentions of making Death Note 3, 4 yada yada…
