Celebrate Christmas with KFC…NOT!

So Christmas is coming soon and KFC sent me this pamphlet promoting their Christmas discounts. I saw this and my reaction was ‘WOW! SO WORTHED IT!’

KFC

I mean come on, $12.95 for such a huge tub of chickens!

Then I took a closer look;

KFC

4 pieces?!

A tub that big and only 4 measly pieces?! Whatever happened to the rest of space? Bonus chicken bones? :o

Way to go KFC.

Feel like trying Donut Factory’s Spicy Cheese?

Spicy Cheese

Yes, it’s that bad. And no, I won’t ever buy it again. Period.

OMG DONUT FACTORY!!!

If you’ve been to the Raffles Place basement, you’d probably seen the ridiculously long queue and think to yourself WTF? That’s what I thought too.

Until I went over to their 2nd outlet at Suntec the other day, which was less crowded and had this express queue which I didn’t see earlier! But I digress.

After much deep intellectual thought, I decided to go for the Double Chocolate flavour to see what’s the fuss all about.

IT’S GOD DAMN DELICIOUS! Imagine eating with your equally yummy and hot girlfriend, that’s the taste.

Oh wait, I was eating with her…never mind. :D

McDonald’s - No price increase?

My ass. The burgers are so small these days, it’s almost criminal! CASE should charge them or something.

Which company in the right mind will think of using a thief as one of their company’s mascot? Oh wait. Never mind.

Addendum: Anyone got the McDonald’s commercials they’re airing now?

Tau Huay 豆花 recipe

Claris’s tiramisu recipe

During my brief hiatus, the gorgeous and intelligent Claris posted up a tiramisu recipe.

# 6 egg yolks
# 500 g mascarpone cheese
# 60g caster sugar
# 1 tsp vanilla essence
# 1 cup espresso coffee
# 4 tsp brandy
# 4 tsp Tia Maria/Kahlua(coffee liqueur)
# 15 pcs of sponge fingers (can get from cold storage-boudoir biscuit)
# Espresso & cocoa powder for decoration

  1. Beat the egg yolks and sugar evenly
  2. Set the mixture over a bowl of hot water and continue beating until it leaves a ribbon trail
  3. Take it out of the hot water and continue beating until mixture is pale and thick.
  4. In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese and vanilla essence evenly.
  5. Pour the egg mixture in and fold until even.
  6. Pour the espresso and brandy in a dish and soak the sponge fingers.
  7. Layer the sponge fingers in cake box followed by a layer of mascarpone mixture.
  8. Continue layering until cake box is full.
  9. Refrigerate cake for 6 hours.
  10. Decorate with espresso powder and cocoa powder before serving.

Or you can just get your tiramisu from these guys.
